How to File a Freedom of Information Act Request with the Municipal Employees’ Annuity and Benefit Fund of Chicago
The following are instructions on how to file a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request with the Municipal Employees’ Annuity and Benefit Fund of Chicago (MEABF):
Please make your request in writing. The MEABF does not require the completion of a standard form for this purpose. The MEABF requests that you indicate whether your request is for commercial purposes and will contact the sender if this intent is not clearly stated. You may submit your written request by mail, fax, Email or through this website.
Please be as specific as possible when describing the records you are seeking. Remember, the Freedom of Information Act is designed to allow you to inspect or receive copies of records. It is not designed to require a public body to answer questions. To the extent that you wish to ask questions of a representative, you may call the Fund offices and ask to speak to a representative.
